We have a big reunion dinner, and apart from that I have a bunch of people to catch up with. I'll be staying in Cape Town the entire time, so apart from avoiding being carjacked (kidding....sort of), there's lots to do. I know my friends have already organized a few things, a whale watching trip, and a great white shark trip. There are some of the most beatiful wine farms there, nice beaches, great restaurants. There is a new Apartheid museum I'd like to visit.

Dew - LOL @ celebrating multiple birthdays....that's how it is here too....

So glad everyone was able to be home. That is the best gift possible isn't it?

And having additional friends is fun too - it's so much fun to have a full house from time to time....

Red velvet cake is yummy. With cream cheese frosting?

Thanks, everyone, for the birthday wishes.

No, buttercream. (I love buttercream frosting.) So yummy. The weather even cooperated. (Silly Cards could have won but you can't always get egg in your beer.)

Mmmm....buttercream! I like both...anything but that whipped creamish kind of stuff people try to pass off as frosting... tastes like nothing so why even bother

Yeah...sorry about your Cards...um "egg in beer"? Does not sound fantastick. Guessing it's a Dew-ism? Or something?

No just an old saying. "What do you want, egg in your beer?" meaning "Aren't you ever satisfied?"

Old saying. Old Dew, lol.

I was just eating breakfast and turned on the t.v. and the Anderson Cooper is on. He's interviewing the Housewives of Beverly Hills - the whole show seems to be about them.....

I could gleen the meaning..it just sounded not very good , which made me wonder if there was more to the story. Interesting combination though. I may have to do some Googling to get a history lesson on that one...

OK - just showered and made my list of the day. Yikes. I'd better get off the computer and do something productive here
