That makes it even worse. She could have contacted you! I smell a little bully.

Oh, that makes it extra-special awkward.

Hmm, I wonder if you could call her to RSVP that you obviously can't make it, as your party is scheduled for the same date and time and see how it goes from there? I'm guessing you'll be able to tell pretty quickly which way the wind is blowing, and at the very least then you're being the polite grown-up in the situation if it goes bad/was intended badly?

Sigh. Hate when things that need not be complicated are made complicated. Good luck!!

re party invites, that is strange. All I can think is that she had it planned already and that's the only time they could do it. People can be very busy and have very full weekends. Maybe they have family coming from out of town, or something. I do see why you are annoyed.

Well, this sucks. DS5 has strep! I went to volunteer in his class and he was clearly not feeling well. I left early with him and went straight to the doctor. Not the afternoon I had planned! This is a really busy weekend, too.

The good thing about strep kibs, is that you start in with the antibiotics and they are good to go in a couple of days. Peachy.

LOL at "dealio" Zim....that is something DD would say.

yes, I was actually glad to get the positive test. One dose, plus a dose of tylenol and he's feeling much better.

Hot gods! I saw one too... I meant to tell you guys. I was walking MissFR home from preschool and he was picking up the recycling. With a fancy prettily painted recycling truck to boot.

But man, he was HOT.

(not as hot as you, babe.)

I thought I'd better put that in there as MrFR is away and has a habit of reading this thread on the iPad.
