probably. It is a quarterly shot, right? So there is a chance of missing the shot 4 times/year, whereas there is a chance of not taking your pill 365 times/year.

Its every 3 months, last I heard.

Anyways, I think the pill is EASIER to remember.
You do it everyday, it becomes as routine as putting socks on.
Whereas you have MONTHS inbetween shots, where it would be easier to forget.

Hmm makes sense. FWIW I had good results on the Nuva Ring. Though I did get a little bit moody sometimes. I really liked it. You just stick it in and get on your way!

TG HATES it....I won't go into details why, which is why I switched to the pill.

Every 3 months is quarterly. 12 months/3 months = 4 shots/year. 4 chances to miss a shot vs 365 chances to forget a pill. I discussed this with my doctor last week in relation to my pills. There is a very real concern among doctors that teenage girls will forget to take their pills. I don't know if you saw the BC effectiveness chart I posted before Julia deleted it, but it is right there in black and white. In actual usage, the shot is more effective than the pill. Maybe not for YOU, but this isn't about YOU. It is about a teenager, and we're back to the very real concern that a teen won't take a pill every day.

They should be responsible enough to do so if they are having sex.

I hope the wine is for you and not the 4.5 year old.

If it's for the 4.5 year old: WARNING! Do NOT start a thread on your parenting techniques.

(Hang in there. )
