I actually had the fantasy that that exact scenario played out in our house yesterday...
DH came home for lunch and since I was having issues with my back, he said he'd mow the lawn when he came home in the evening. It needs it badly and it's supposed to rain all day today.
Well, 7pm rolled around and DS and I stopped waiting for him to come home. We ate and went down in the basement to watch t.v.
At one point, I walked upstairs and smelled the distinct, lovely smell of freshly mowed grass! I was so happy, opened the door to the garage - and it was closed. DH wasn't home happily mowing the lawn. Bummer.
The last name alone should have been changed a generation or two ago....
You are on the money JK! I thought so too because I know a Jewish family with the same last name but it was changed two generations ago and no her name was not Cherri. They spelt it Hyman.
We have friends with the surname Cox, they were telling me the other day about a huge family argument that occurred when naming their son. The grandmother was very insistent they use the family name Harrison, and the dad said there was no way in Hades he was going to name a kid Harry Cox. Granny apparently didn't think it was a biggie!
I have to say Toddler X's name is not a common name in the US but you do hear it in the UK. When I put it down on the birth certificate the nurse asked me are you sure you want to name your kid that because she pronouced it wrong. I had to tell her there is a popular American actress with the same name and this is the Welsh way of spelling it instead of the American way. Toddler X has a girl in his preschool with the same name spelt the American way and all the teachers love the fact that two children have the same name. They think Toddler X is the masculine version and the girls is feminine.

I don't know if any of you ever watch "The Soup". I catch it every once in a while and it seems like every time I do, Joel is doing a story about Mike Hawk. He just loves that name.
Well ladies I am off I have some English trifle to eat.
Ooh, haven't made that in a while. Great idea.
