They have these "Gay" reprogramming weekends, for Christians who feel guilt for being gay. They pray a lot, quote scripture, it is very bizarre. I heard about from one of my son's friends. He went to placate his parents. They beleived it would "cure" him. He was told to find a nice girl and get married right away. Like that would solve the whole thing.

I can see the Duggar's sending any of their kids to a retreat like that. They live that way.

The Duggars announced the name of their lost baby on Monday. She was a girl, and her name is Jubilee Shalom. Apparently Michelle has experienced some spells of lightheadedness and was admitted to the hospital but is expected to be released soon. This information is from E! News Daily.

Am I the only one who is sickened by the fact that they told media RIGHT away when they found out?

No. I feel that if their show were really about educating people about how families such as theirs live, they would not have announced Mrs. Duggar's pregnancy or miscarriage the way they did. That might be something to come up in a later episode, if at all. Maintain some privacy, for Pete's sake.

Perhaps they wanted to control the situation? Most PR people will tell their clients to release such info themselves rather then seeing it splashed all over TMZ as an exclusive.

Even though medical records are "private" someone was bound to drop a dime to TMZ or the National Enquirer because the Duggars are public personalities. (That person could also receive a cash payout for that particular bit of news.) A preemptive strike negates this possibility.

I can absolutely see them going that route.

Worst name yet.

re releasing the info to the media right away, maybe they do that so the info comes from them and isn't leaked by someone else first.

A miscarriage is a very sad time. Usually the funerals are not even held, just a small family service. If that, and that is in extreme cases.

Please don't film this baby's service.
