I am discrimnated against for being in a bi-racial relationship by countless upon countless people but you dont see me starting a Kiss In for bi racial couples.
Why not? That seems a really important cause. Perhaps YOU don't chose activism. That doesn't make it wrong for someone else to. Without it, these ignorant positions are never challenged.

It is a great cause but I've come to accept that ignorant people will be ignorant no matter what anyone does. Now if they were say refusing me service or something along those lines then by all means call in the troops but just a nasty look or a snide comment is something ive come to take in stride.
This woman was discrimnated against. It was wrong. it was illegal. But theyve apoligized and beyond educating their emplyees theres not very much else to be done. Im not sure what the feed in was supposed to acomplish except their picture in a newspaper.
The article said they DID apoligize but she wasnt satisifed with their response. She probably wanted to be "complensated" for the tramatic experiance.
From the article:
Quote:
Hickman said she later called Target’s corporate offices but was dissatisfied with their response. She said the retailer has yet to apologize to her directly.
*After I left the store I decided to call the Target corporate office to notify them of the situation and to suggest that they educate their employees as to the legal right I have to nurse in public. The lady told me that she and Target were aware of our legal rights as nursing mothers, but that Target has different policies because they are a family friendly public place. She continued to inform me repeatedly that Target’s policies were different than the law and even went as far to say several times that just because it is a woman’s right to nurse in public even without a nursing cover like I was using doesn't mean women should walk around ”flaunting it” and was extremely rude.
Your right I just re read the article and "Hickman said she later called Target’s corporate offices but was disatisfied with their response. She said the retailer has yet to apologize to her directly." is what I was referring to but I see now that they did not apoligize. My humblest apoligies.

It is not just about THOSE 8 Moms at THAT Target. It is about raising awareness so that OTHER mothers are not harassed at OTHER public locations.
Right. But as I said there can be as many protests as anyone wants but ignorant people will still be ignorant. A bunch of woman pulling out their breast to feed their kids at the same time isnt going to change anything. IMO at least. If I were against something, a protest would be nothing but funny to me.
