Parents and smartphones

This thread makes me sad yet I see all the time. We have a rule and that's no phones at the table. Period. It just lacks class IMO and drives me crazy when kids today can't even make eye contact with their waiter because they are too busy on their phones. Not gonna happen here.

People judge the same in my situation but it is my husband on the phone all the time. He is in charge of 32 other soldiers and is ALWAYS having something to deal with. I try not to care what other people outside my family think because they have no clue what is going on and how demanding (and how much he loves) his job is
