ODS loves Mythbusters too. He is grossed out by Dirty Jobs though. It's actually quite entertaining to sit and watch his reaction to various tasks Mike performs.

Ages ago there was a similar show called Industry on Parade. I was fascinated with conveyor belts and assembly lines. I think it is great kids have interest in TV other thasn the mindless garbage directed to kids.

here we watch myth busters, house hunters (we give prizes if you guess the right one) and a lot of cooking shows. Outside they play Chopped with things from the yard in the Mystery Basket. Very innovative and much fun.

PS There isn't much you can make with sweet gum balls and they always groan when I add that to the basket!

One of my favorite episodes of Mr. Rogers was when he showed how crayons were made.
