Yes, I did. I simply don't understand how ANYONE can be so preoccupied- and many of these parents were on the phone talking about bills, or jobs or whatever- that they could forget their kids. Sorry, that's not ok. I know they suffer with what they did everyday, and I feel bad for them, but they made a choice to not put their kids in the forefront of their minds.
[T]hey made a choice to not put their kids in the forefront of their minds.
No, they didn't. That's the point, and why a dose of fear is healthy for all of us. The human brain actively tries to go into habit mode whenever possible. Driving to work is the perfect example.

I appreciate your link;and I agree that, sadly, many people have to be reminded to remember where they put their baby.
You are completely missing the point in your quest to be a better parent than everyone else. These parents encounter a situation which forces them to alter their normal routine, and added to that is some element or the other that causes an additional distraction. In their mind they think they have delivered their child safely where they need to be. It's not a matter of forgetting or neglecting.

I don't think I'm a better parent than anyone else, please. I just think that forgetting your baby in a car is grossly negligent. I mean, the bar is pretty low if that is what being a "good parent" is all about.

And yet again you are proving that you have not read any of the links. Feel free before embarassing yourself further.

If you read the articles, you can plainly see it was NOT a choice.

You really are missing the point. They did not forget the baby. In their brain, they have taken care of the child or someone else has the child. Please re-read the articles because you do not understand what the issue is here.
How am I embarrassing myself? I have read the links, I feel very badly for these parents. It's sad. But they were negligent.
How?
