I am a 22 year old male living in new orleans and my ex is tripping out when it comes to my 1yr.old daughter. The last time i saw my daughter was mardi gras day. She told me that she didn't want to have other people around our daughter and here she is on facebook telling everyone she has a teenager as her man; but my lady friend can't be around my daughter. When i ask to see my baby girl her mom come up with all kind of excuses. She has men running in and out of her house smoking marijauna around the kids. That's not cool. My parents go out of there way to send money for her to care for all three kids and to turn her lights back on. I miss my baby girl. What can i do to get visitation rights?

Seek legal assistance.
We may be a ferocious group but no one here can help you.

Unless you`ve already gone to court to establish custody or visitation...you have as much right to see the child as her mother does.....seek those rights in a court....meanwhile....if I were you....I'd just drop in when-EVER I wanted to see my little gal....sure as h#ll wouldn't ask permission from anyone....

If you are that concerned you either a) get a lawyer

or b) if no visitation rights are established, go and take the daughter if you feel she is being mistreated/ignored/neglected.

You don't even get to see her when you drop off the child support check?

The two are actually separate issues, and he'd be wise in making sure he pays through the court or how else is he ever going to prove he's been giving support if she later tries to say he never did? Best to work all this out through the courts.
