I just read in a biography of Michael Jackson, that after his kids played with their toys, they'd be be thrown out, and replaced with new ones the next day, for sanitary reasons! He was one of Toys R Us's best customers over the years!

And their eating utensils would also be thrown out after each meal, replaced with new ones, for sanitary reasons!

Even if you had his money, would you consider doing something like this with your children? Take sanitariness to such extremes?

I just hope those used toys weren't incinerated, and hopefully given to thrift stores or charitable organizations!

Comments?

There's a reason Michael Jackson was $500 mil in debt when he died.

MJ had mental problems, no normal people do that. He wore a surgical mask in public.

Good point! Those toys could have been touched by other kids at the store!

$500 million in debt is not a big deal when you're worth $11.5 Billion and have $1.3 Billion in liquid cash on hand.

Industry sources differ from what Tom Mesereau reports in that Wiki article. His children can thank the attorneys for his estate for some very smart deal making with Sony. (The numbers came out in June and they're not 11.5 billion.) I'll take industry reports over Mesereau (who is not one of the attorneys for his estate) but feel free to believe what you like. Goodness knows people did about Michael when he was alive.

And, no, I wouldn't toss perfectly good toys.

My point was that he had a goldmine. Money was no issue and toys were not the reason why he had debt. He had debt because he was in financially incompetent mental state in recent years. Clearly he had some mental issues.

He was mentally ill and had germ phobias. I always kind of felt sorry for him in a way. The accusations of child molestation really bothered me but I guess we wont know if it was true. He didnt have a good life and his family is nuts. They sure are clambering to spend his money though.
