That is the attitude of so many people. I am SO GLAD I had wonderful friends and my son's wonderful Grandma when he was young. They helped me and I helped them; yes - maybe we did grumble to ourselves worried that our OWN kids would get sick - but we helped out anyway.

It reminds me too to be grateful for my employer (who I seem to be highly annoyed with these days) because they were definitely flexible if nothing else. Work at home; come in late - whatever as long as you were in good standing.

I cannot imagine how hard it is for folks who do not have sick days, family, friends to lean on; and an understanding employer.

Pay it forward folks; there will come a day when you will need some help as well.
