What is your child's sleeping habits? What time do they go to sleep at night and wake up in the morning? Do they take naps?

My son seems to have weird sleeping habits despite what I do to regulate them. I was just wondering how his compares to others. Thanks for your input everyone!

My two boys go to bed religiously at 8PM every night. They do sleep for an hour or two during the day most times also.

They wake between 7AM and 10AM

One is nearly three and the other nearly four.

My gurls are in bed religiously too at 8 pm...my older one (7) has more leeway till 9 only because its summer..but the other one...is at least in her bed by 8 and sometimes just "talks" her way to bed by 830.

They both (now because of summer break) wake up at about 830.

My 2 year old also naps from 1130-230 everyday.

I have sleep trained them since they were born ( other than the occasional general ones).

But dont compare the kids to your own. I have many friends that dont allow their children to nap..and put them down at 7 pm. For me the one hour earlier doesnt help much and I would rather take the 3 hour naptime in which I work and get things done!

My son is now 6, but I knew from day one he was on a sleep routine (as a small newborn)

He goes to bed at 7:30 pm religiously and wakes up around 6:30/7 am.

He's ALWAYS had a set time to take a bath (or downtime) and then a brush his teeth and a book together, then straight to bed.

I think having a good sleeper is something that is instilled when they are babies.

My son is 27 months....we have a routine too. At daycare and at home there is lunch about 11 am followed by some downtime (book, short video) and then nap from noon-2 pm. In the evening...bath around 730 pm then downtime and sleep around 830 pm...we have daylight til past 10 pm up here in the mid summer so bedtime may be delayed til 9 pm or so. He usually will wake up one or twice each night, wanting to be rocked or he wants to come to our bed. We just went paci-less a week ago, so he has been more restless than usual. Here is the bad part he wakes up at 6 am on the dot...no matter when he goes to bed. If only he would sleep to 8 am on the weekends!

My 2 year old naps for 1 hr sometimes 2 sometimes more sometimes not at all. His nap could be anywhere from 11-2.

At night he goes to sleep at 8 9 or 10. he wakes up almost always at 7.

They are all different, just as you and I are different. Dont worry

My son's one, but my niece does not go to bed at the same time every night and sleeps about 10 hours a night. She takes one 2-3 1/2 hour nap a day.

My son is 17 months & he is pretty regular. He goes to bed around 8 (ish) every night. He has his bath around 7:45 (ish) & then gets his PJs on & gets to snuggle with mommy while he has some milk before bed...besides when he's sick, this is about the only prolonged snuggle time mommy gets anymore!

He usually naps for 2-3 hours from around noon to 3 (ish) & regularly wakes up around 6:30 a.m. (ish) I really don't even need an alarm clock because he always wakes me up.

My son (now 13 years old) has never been much of a sleeper. If the books say a child x age should sleep 12 hours, he'd sleep 10. If it said 10 hours, he'd sleep 8. His bio-dad (they've never met) only needed 5 hours a night (and is quite successful). Maybe it's something he inherited. My son hates to sleep, never goes willingly still to this day. Last night he was up until 3:30am. He sees being tired as a weakness of some kind. He gets up happy every morning that that stupid waste of time sleeping thing is over for another day.

I don't have any answers for you, I just wanted to let you know not every one has kids who are great sleepers.
