News flash: Negative influences are everywhere. What are you going to do if you become a parent? Teach your children how to cope and interact with a variety of people? Or pretend they don't exist? Or am I wrong and you know of a place where you can raise children and never have to worry about negative influences?

I'm talking about parents who would intentionally expose their children to negative influences.

Nobody does that intentionally. That's the point. The poll is flawed.

You haven't been here for most of this conversation, which stems from another thread. The OP set up the poll to attempt to prove her misguided point.

I voted other- Although I'd try to keep my kids away from negative influenced, I know quite well that kids often do the opposite of what you said. Kids need to learn that not everything in life is easy. Environment plays a huge role in negative influences.

You're being lambasted for being elitist.

My list of bad influences includes people who think they're better than everyone else.
Elitist and thinking you're better than everyone else are not the same thing.

Frankly, as time goes on, I have less patience for pretentious people, but more tolerance for people who are choosier about the level of character, education, and world view.
