... because most men are definitely "sick pedophiles."

Do you think about what you say, OP?

I'm not talking about "tags", but regardless - it's creepy posting photos of someone else's kid online whether you put their name out there along with their photo or not. There were several photos of just my son, no other kids even in the photo, so this parent was actually watching my son and taking photos of him (along with other kids). It is just way creepy and totally irresponsible.

Why was she/he doing that? Was this a team photo page or something? Was this his/her kid's bday party and your son was a guest? I just can't imagine why another parent would watch, photograph, post pics of your child like that for no logical reason. Not normal. Did you ask this parent about it?

Now that would be creepy, UNLESS you are someone like my dh who takes photos for the other parents and then gives them prints at no charge.

He loves taking pictures and if my grandkids are on a team, he often takes individual shots of each kid to give to their parents or team photos to give to every parent who has a child on the team. His pictures are really good so the parents appreciate it.

We once received a thank you note with a cute picture of our child enjoying himself at the party. The hosts had taken a picture of each one of their guests and sent the picture as a keepsake along with a thank you note for the gift. I thought that it was a very sweet and thoughtful touch - we still have that picture .

That reminds me...one of my mother's favorite baby pictures of me was me in a park, playing with some stranger's dog. The dog's owner took a picture of me, and sent it to my mom. My mother had no idea who this person was...he just happened to have a camera and saw a good photo op of a baby playing with his dog, and was nice enough to give my mom a copy of the picture. It's good to have reminders that there really are people who do things out the kindness of their heart, not for any evil purposes.

My kids participate in sports and this happens a lot. I definitely appreciate it! I know lots of parents who have really nice cameras and enjoy sharing their shots with other parents, as in: "Look at this great action shot I got of your son Timmy!", and usually they'll post them on Facebook or in a Shutterfly album or something. It's great- nothing creepy or irresponsible about it.

We actually have a couple of parents who were so impressed with one of my son's giftedness in track, that they actually took many photos of him. They blew several of him running, crossing finish lines at the head of the pack, etc., then gave them to us for Christmas presents. Nothing weird about it, just amazingling kind and generous!
