I have 8 siblings. I have one child and my brother has one child. Everyone else is in school. But the remaining kids have said they want kids in this order. 2 adopted kids ( she's a lesbian), 1, 0, 2, 5, 3,0. My sister that wants 5 kids is more "motherly" than the rest of us. She also has said she wants foster kids as well.

2-4 is about average where I live. But 3 child families seem to be the plurality. Only child families are rare though. I think there was only one only child in my hs graduating class.

My wife and I currently have one but we eventually want four.

Florida here.

I have neighbors who have 5 or more kids, several neighbors like that. Most people seem surprised that I'm done having kids...I have two.

Average family size in Kuala Lumpur? In the suburbs, maybe three to four kids. In the poorer areas and the country as a whole, probably more.

Average family size in SF? One cat and maybe a small hamster.

I saw a bumper sticker in boston a year ago "If you cant feed em' don't breed em' "

on the flipside, if you have the means, have 3 or five kids, I wished I had ten now,,,,,always a thanksgiving meal somewhere,,,and as I get older, more kids to help out if needed
