I was just watching the news conference about the shooting in the school, and as I write this, tears are running down my face. Just please cherish the children you have. I can't imagine that there are parents in CT who are waiting to find out if there kids are alive. Who gives a F... if your kids have tantrums sometimes? Be grateful for them.
That in the grand scheme of things, parenting differences about a Target tantrum are completely unimportant?
Do I really have to explain this to you? We're not taking about "the grand scheme of things." OP inferred that the other thread shouldn't be discussed. It that's the case, close the entire forum then. Jeez...

You may not be talking about the grand scheme of things, but most parents are in light of recent events.

Some insight would be nice, but I can't expect everyone to have some. Talk about whatever you want. I started this thread yesterday after watching the press conference. It was a highly emotional moment for me, and I assumed for others as well. I understand that life goes on, but in light of what happened, one would think that...oh, forget it. Carry on.

You asked a question, I answered. No need to get snippy with me. People are welcome to discuss whatever they want, no matter how inconsequential.
in the grand scheme of things, hardly anything else in the forum really matters compared to the shootings, so i agree with you there.
but perhaps your post would have been better suited just as a place to talk about cherising your family/children as opposed to pointing out a totally unrelated post?
