Other than constantly being asked, regarding the redhead, "where did she get that red hair?" and "is she Irish?", I never had any issues with her not looking like me.

I would wonder too. I don't see anything wrong with asking, and hearing an explanation. I just might learn something new. Are parents taking offense at people noticing a difference? I don't know why you would. I'm sure no offense was intended, people are curious.

Yep, I've gotten this, and my kids are both my biological children. They are blonde and blue eyed, and I'm darker.

It doesn't bother me in the least.

I don't have any children yet, but I do have a sibling (sister) who looks absolutely nothing like me. It didn't cause either of us any problems yet, though.

I think it is nobody's business. It is very personal and some may not feel they need to explain and satisfy your curiosity. We are a Jerry Springer Nation with way too much information out there and absolutely no privacy left in our lives.

My son looks just like the guy we used to live beside. A really strange coincidence I guess.

What do you have to be ashamed of? How personal can it be, an adoption, or your child looks like his father, or a foster child. I would be proud anywhichway.
