It's okay to get upset and express that. However, that little girl was in her room screaming for over an HOUR.

I'm sorry, but that little girl should not have been allowed to disrupt the entire family for that long with all that screaming. She should have been told to pull herself together (after an acceptable period of time) or face additional consequences.
This is what the mom wrote:

My 6 year old daughter had been in her room wigging out for about an hour, and there was no talking her down. I was getting fed up, so my husband decided to lighten the mood. For the record, she's not typically a beast child - she's actually a pretty awesome little kid who was having a rough day.

I would disagree that "there was no talking her down."

Not good, not funny. I couldn't stand more than 5 seconds of it.

I wasn't there either but I can say this. The parents are adults and they determine what happens in their home. If they wanted to "talk her down," then they could have done it.

Would those same adults allow a regular house guest to scream for an hour? No? Then they didn't have to allow a child to scream for an hour.

Sure hope the family has their own home with no close neighbors. Wouldn't want to be their next door neighbor in an apartment, condo or house on small lot.

Little girl knew exactly what she was doing and was making a deliberate effort to scream - especially with the " don't make fun of me comment", while she then continued to yowl. All over not having McDonald's.
Wonder if the daughter has learned to outlast the parents to get what she wants ?

Good luck to that family- they're going to need it - lol

I thought the video was hilarious; what I saw of it. But I did incorrectly assume that the child (which I never saw onscreen) was about 3-4.

Exactly. The parents have taught the child that she can get away with stuff like screaming for an hour.

I saw this video earlier in the week. I thought it was disgusting. The girl was obviously upset that her own father was making fun of her behind her back to her brothers. What a great example that sets for the kids.

I also didn't like how when the video was put up on YouTube they put an email address for media to contact. Its as if they made this video specifically to try and get their 15 minutes of fame by embarrassing their daughter in front of the entire world. It would be one thing if they filmed this and had the girl watch it after she calmed down to show how silly her tantrums seem, but to post it online for everyone to see? This girl is 6 years old, she is in school. What if a classmate sees this? Is this something her parents want her to have to live with for the rest of her time in school? Kids can be mean. Not only is this girl being bullied at home by her own father and brothers, but she will also get bullied at school.
