Which of these situations bother you more? Your 18 year old kid smokes a pack of cigs a day OR smokes pot twice a month? Consider everything else (grades, disposition, mental health, relationships, work ethic, friends) the same.

Yes no smoking but I kind of assume kids will probably at least try cigarettes and that wouldn't really bother me and cigarettes aren't mind altering in the same bad way that pot is.
