Which is probably extremely unlikely if someone is smoking twice a month.

People get Top Secret security clearances having admitting smoking pot (or having a DUI).

And, a pack a day is almost certainly going to lead to serious health problems - maybe not terminal lung cancer but many other diseases.

Cigarettes.

Pot seems to be something people grow out of. You rarely hear of someone growing out of cigarettes; it's an addiction that generally progresses for the worse.

I've been trying to get my dad to quit smoking cigarettes since I was three. Very sore subject

Cigarettes are much worse. By the legal trends and survey results it appears that people are coming around to a more rational view on marijuana.

Just because people want to decriminalize it (and I am fine with that) does not mean it is acceptable for teens to use, ever. Alcohol is not criminalized but it is still not acceptable (for most people) for teens to partake. Same for marijuana.

Cigarets more than pot. Way more.

Cigarettes will lead to an early death.

Pot leads to stupidity and possibly dangerous behavior if the kid drives while high.

At least with cigarettes, maybe the kid will mature one day and quit. The same can be said for pot, but in the meantime he can do a lot more damage to himself and others than he could with cigarettes.

So I would say pot would bother me more.

Which would bother you more: daily pot or an occasional cigarette?

Cigarettes would both me more if they only smoked pot a couple of times a month.
