My twins are 15 months old and I want to start potty training them. I have 3 other kids which I did not potty train them until after they turned 2 but I am just ready to get everyone out of diaper! After about 7 straight years it gets old! Do you think they are too young?
Well, if they pee and poop at regular times, you could train yourself to catch it all in the toilet, I suppose. As far as real potty training, though, most kids don't have any chance of bladder control until they're at least 20-22 months old. Also, many kids are not ready until they're 2 1/2 or so. My unprofessional opinion is that they're too young.

I was completely potty trained at one year. Sure it depends on the kids, but I'd sure start as soon as possible. I have a friend that I work with and she told me that as soon as the baby could sit by themselves with no support she plopped them on the potty and started training. I think she said she started hers at 9 months.
It's probably too young to try unless they are very advanced for their age, and you might cause more harm than good by trying too early. If it turns into a difficult experience for them it might cause them to resist against future trials thus pushing them farther behind than if you waited until they were ready.
You could always look up "elimination communication". It's not exactly the same thing as "potty training", but it might give you the results you seek - being diaper free.
They might be to young but they seem to catch on to stuff much quicker than my boys did so I just wanted to see if other people had any positive results for young ones!
My oldest daughter was potty trained at 15 months, and dry nights at 18 months. It took three days. My younger was trained at 18 months completely, in a week.
