So I found this on another website and wanted to know what you guys would do:
Today, my 4-year-old daughter figured out how to set a parental code lock on our television so we can't watch football because it scares her when we scream. She won't tell us no matter what we bribe her with
1) You don't normally scream during a football game
2) If your actions scare your 4 year old, you should cease those actions as a parent.
3) 4 year olds won't know how to lockout specific channels in order to prevent you from watching to prevent you from screaming. That is too complex for a 4 year old.
4) If a 4 year old did set a lock code, knows what it is, and won't tell you, then you have a problem on your hands. It's called your the parent and time to regain your role.

LOL! About the only thing that rings true in that story is that people are screaming during a football game. It's pretty normal for people to get excited watching their team play, and that can scare some kids.
Why do you think the situation is fake? It is possible for a kid to change a password on a remote. I doubt a parent wouldn't know how to resolve that though as the user manual (probably downloadable online) would provide an override solution.
