Wean yourself off with a baby monitor. I still have one for my 4 year old, I can't sleep without the background noise lol. I haven't gone into his room at night in years with the exception of nose bleeds and the pukies.

I let my son sleep with me till he was 8..i never stopped it .. at one point he said he wanted to sleep in his room and then he did.. I think its ok to let it go till they are ready. my little girl is still in my room.. its nice cuddly time that wont last forever.
