A 13-year-old and his 12-year-old girlfriend have reportedly become Britain's youngest parents.

The Sun reports that the baby, who was born last weekend, was conceived last summer when the girl was still in primary school.

Why is this even news? If someone is trying to break a record, certainly hope it is not this one. Reporting this as some kind of record is just sickening.

I agree this shouldn't be newsworthy. But hey if they teach their kids to do the same, they can try for youngest grandparents, youngest great grand parents and youngest great-great grandparents before they're even 50. I'm sure that would make the news too.

Must have been a slow day in the news department.
