You either hope things get better between them over a period of time or you find a new girlfriend. Not every child is going to accept every new partner of their parents and in my experience if a child or an animal does not like that particular person is it usually best to move on to someone the kids and the animals do like.
Yes...not enough info here. Is this a girlfriend that dad dumped mom for? Or the first girlfriend after separating from mom? Or just someone that rubs them the wrong way. How old are the kids; how is the relationship between mom and dad? All of this is relevant information here.
I agree, lots more info. Unless its a very serious relationship, it would be good to just keep them apart. Why they don't like her is really important. The living situation would help, as would the info about how long divorced, age of kids, etc
