Intriguing new American version of an Australian show. Been watching on Hulu and wondering what does it say about how we view different parenting styles. I imagine parents that are viewers have strong feelings about the themes of this show. Any opinions? Raves or rants about the subject matter.
I would describe the show but feel it would come out biased. It's one of those that the bad guy isn't cut and dry and you have to see it for yourself. It's a realistic yet fascinating portrayal of family dynamics for sure.

Thanks I wondered if there was one already. I didn't see it on the parenting forum and wanted to focus the conversation of that aspect of the show. There are many posters on this forum that wouldn't necessarily be perusing the TV entertainment one.I am going to check it out because I'm sure it's generated a lot of debate on this issue.
I just read it.Seems the bulk of that thread is the debate over character relations. Such as who is what to whom . I'm more interested in the parenting aspects of the show.
I dont see alot of parenting controversy. The main parents in question so far are from two extreme angles. Few people would defend either of them.
I am watching the Aussie version after seeing the first couple episodes of the USA version. Much better!
