I'll take off my socks and throw one away,
This is my favorite part. It describes my grandson to a T. Drives me crazy trying to match socks and finding them here and there all muddy in the yard.

Very cute! I can relate.

My 5 year old tells me all the time that he is going to marry me and live with me forever Actually, it's totally adorable even if we know he'll grow out of it.

Ditto that on the living with us forever bit! We moved out of State this year and my son keeps saying how much he misses his old house. I tell him when he's older he can move back there if he so desires and his comment is "Only if you and Dad come too."

my gran was one of my most favourite people in the world. She was also a wonderful English scholar and just loved anything to do with words and poems etc. For as long as I can remember she had this thesaurus that was always sitting nearby because she was a lover of crosswords. She passed away in December and yesterday in the post I received that thesaurus, it means a lot to me because I associate it with her and she always scribbled other words in it if she thought they should have been included in the list of synonyms. But the best part is that tucked in between the pages, was a piece of notepaper with this poem written out in my grans handwriting. :-)

You have a poem on this site called When I'm An Old Lady.
It would be awesome if you could give it a proper credit.
In reality, May Baker Winkel penned that funny poem in 2002. I was there.
Thank you.

If I get to be an old man I won't have any kids. I'll either worry myself into an early grave like HP Lovecraft or go the same way as John Entwistle. I hope for the latter.
