Cooper is a pet's name and doesn't roll off the tongue.
I like Logan a lot. It has an understated class about it. Gabriel is too archaic, though it is a great name for an archangel.
On the same subject I heard "Remi" as a boys name. Ugh. Just ewwww.

Good point to remember about the initial. For example, absolutely nothing wrong with the name Alan Smith ... if the middle name is Steven ...

Prefer Gabriel.

I like names that have withstood the test of time Logan and Cooper are just too trendy for me.

Cooper.

It's been my experience that people named Cooper (first or last name) are often the coolest people in the room.

Seriously, one's name has nothing to do with their personality. A child's name should probably not be chosen by tossing a bunch of names into the www hat and see which one you get when random strangers are asked.
Original poster: My personal preferance and your are more than likely completely different so you and your partner should keep this discussion between you only and choose your child's name based on your reasoning and logic.

I didn't say it did.

One of the original Mercury 7 astronauts was named Gordon Cooper. Gordo was definitely the coolest guy in the room.
