The dreaded canned peas. I wasn't supposed to hate peas because my mother loved them. It wasn't good enough that I managed to gag a few down, I had to listen to the The Pea Speech about her mother's tiny, sweet, fresh garden peas.
I hated not having any choice in where to go, where to live, what to do or what to wear. My parents did what they wanted and imo affected my life in some negative ways. Being an adult is much better.

My sister would hide the peas under the rim of her plate. When she and I cleared the table we just threw them out!
