I was wondering what stores offer some cute clothes for "plus" sized girls? I know that Kohls has "1/2 plus" (like 10 1/2 plus).
A lot of the shirt styles are very slim fitting, though. Anyone have some suggestions?

How old of a child are we talking about? I simply ADORE Deb, and have forever! My daughter, who is also plus-size, will be getting her prom dress from Deb, and we've shopped there for her since she outgrew Limited Too stuff! They have a great selection, and they're generally not bad price-wise. They have killer sales sometimes, too!

Hope this helps!

She's 10 years old and not real tall. Size 10 1/2 plus fits in length but not around the waist. Does Limited too have plus sizes? Didn't think to look there!

JC Penny, Sears, Fashion Bug - I'm not sure about Limited too. More and more stores are coming out with it. Look at Old Navy too. My daughter was an in between size. She wasn't really a plus size...but the "regular sizes" were too small. I found too that a lot of places, like Old Navy are using the Adjustable waist more and more for the older kids.

I am pretty sure I've seen plus size at Old Navy and Limited Too.

I hope you do not take this the wrong way but you should put the money into physical activities to get the child to a healthier weight. This will help her be a happy healthy child as well as adult.

At Limited Too,we had to move her into the Junior sizes instead of the regular sizes. Forgot all about Fashion Bug!

My daughter was/is physically active, baseball, soccer, lots of walking, swimming, dance, etc... she's just big.

thats rather presumptuous. And rude. People come in all sizes, you know. Even kids.

Yeah, sometimes its called a little thing named genetics. Sometimes, people are larger due to those one things called genes. Heard of 'em?

Genetics? That is just an excuse.

Weight is calories in vs calories out. That and physical exercise.
Don't tell me these plus size kids are only eating whole wheat carbs, fruits, veggies and no fast food or junk food.

Its a sad day when parents are making excuses for their children. But in reality it is parents making excuses for themselves, for they are the real reason their children are overweight.

Stop using genetics as an excuse. I know better, I am a physician.
