Just out of curiosity what single word would you choose to express your chagrin, your pain, anger, frustration and fear when you have arrived at your first day in your new home in your new town and have suddenly injured yourself to the point of needing a trip to the ER, and you have no idea how to get there nor any way to google it? If ever there was an appropriate time for a choice curse word that was it, somehow 'oh darn' just didn't do it for me, lol.

Sometimes the cuss word expresses the angst so much better though. LOL

I didn't care if they cursed when they were at home. The only rule was you couldn't curse at someone, but if you stub your toe sometimes yelling "$h!t!!!" makes it hurt a little less.

I have heard this one before but actually here is a stronger correlation between swearing and higher verbal fluency, and even intelligence.

On a side note, ther is also a link between swearing and honesty. Those who swear more tend to be more honest. Interesting.

No, she doesn't. I've never explicitly forbidden it, but I don't swear in front of her, and she doesn't swear in front of me.

She will occasionally say "frickin'" and "that sucks" but that's it.

I always thought "sucks" was not a cuss word.

As much as I don't agree with this, I won't touch it. Thanks for your reply/opinion.
