I don't necessarily agree with everything you and KibbieKat were saying, but I still respect your viewpoint -- just as I know you respect mine.
We got off on the wrong foot, but there's enough bickering in the world already. No need to argue.
At the end of the day, I'm going to do what I think is best for the marriage, but I take everyone's opinions here into account. I may consider a joint account in the future, but right now I'm just focused on helping her pay down that debt.
