A friend of mines daughter and some other family members have a shared cell phone plan which she (my friend) has paid the bill over the years. There is a recent class action lawsuit for robo calls which her daughters number qualifies for. Do you think daughter should get the money, the mother or is it fair to split.
It's up to $900. Her name isn't on the account since the mother had been paying the bill for years. I thought half and half would be fair unless like u said it's a small amount .
If the mother is paying the bill and the phone is in her name then the mother is entitled to any amount received. If it were me though I would probably slide my kid a few bucks from it since it's unexpected money and just a nice thing to do.
No the thing was the daughter seemed to feel she was entitled to it all.
Well that's disturbing. Not sure how old the daughter is and if it is too late but she should be made to understand the value of money Vs. relationships. Sounds like the daughter's orientation is all wrong.
The daughter is in her mid thirties married with kids--a long story! I was just trying to convince my friend that she's (my friend) at least entitled to half.
If the mom has been paying the bill all along the money belongs to her. 100% of it.
