When my daughter was about to enter Sr year I happened across an online post she made claiming she had no interest in college and how long and hard it all seemed. She just wanted school to end and to never have to go again! Shortly after that I signed her up for the SAT. Then I brought up the website for our State colleges and told her to pick out the ones that interested her, which was mainly based on their location and the programs they had. Together we filled out all the info that was required, I gave her my credit card for the application fee and she pressed SEND. She didn't see the point in any of it but by the time the acceptance letters started coming she was much more into it, happy that she wasn't left out of all the excitement!
I already knew what school and major she would want, all it took was an acceptance letter and a visit for her to say "I want to go here!". She just needed a push, she wouldn't have done it on her own.

Why does it matter? In her own time. Let her grow in her own. She’s not even a senior yet.

^^And this.
Everyone needs to quit psychoanalyzing this girl. The OP isn't her parent. It doesn't sound like the OP has even talked with the girl's parents about this issue.
