In the latest odd craze to sweep social media, parents are throwing cheese slices in their kids’ faces. Yes, really.
The strange trend started when Twitter user @unclehxlmes posted a video he saw on Facebook of someone throwing cheese at a baby’s face. His tweet unexpectedly went viral – and although he deleted it shortly after, people were quick to jump on board.
If it's American cheese, I'm not going to waste money buying that crap. If it's real cheese, I'm not going to waste cheese throwing it at my kids. I'm sure I could find something better to throw in their faces. Maybe their dirty socks that they left on the coffee table again.
Does the kid open his mouth and catch the cheese in his mouth?
Not a good way to treat a young child and a waste of money. Oh wait.... does the parent then pick the cheese up off the floor and feed it to their kid?
I saw this yesterday. I guess don't get the humor in it. Just seems like an a-hole thing to do to your kid for super cheap social media laughs from the less imaginative.
Eh. Doesn't seem like a big deal, one way or another, to me.
It's not like it hurts physically to get a slice of American cheese in the face. 2 or 3 of the babies were like "Yum, I like american cheese, thanks!" and none of the babies seemed to be upset about it.
This controversy just strikes me as yet another example people just enjoying shaming other people, and it's popular to shame parents. So...eh.
I don't really care about throwing a slice of cheese at a baby... I'm more disturbed by the constant attention-seeking behavior some people old enough to be parents exhibit. Bizarre.
A parent? Really? Seems more like something a jealous sibling might do, like maybe a nine year old, not an adult. What sort of person would come up with such a stupid idea idea in the first place, let alone post it for other people to see. Utterly pointless.
They're only doing this because the baby is too young to be offended. It's pretty insulting to have something thrown at you. I hope these same parents aren't doing something so condescending when their child is old enough to be self aware.
