Because it leads to entitlement.

I believe no teenager needs a car & if they want it, they should earn it. Does yr son work? Time to teach him responsibility, that you cant get everything handed to you in life.

Yes, he does have a job and he wisely invests the money he earns because he is investing in his teen years to be wealthy in his 20s.

Well then since he has all this money, your best course of action here is to just close the bank accounts, cancel the car insurance & phone & let him figure it out himself

You have a problem with him having money?
If he wanted to "figure it out himself" wouldn't he need a bank account

He's not acting like an adult. He's acting like a child who got ahold of adult money.

OP, are you the son in this scenario?

You say that, yet i have not met many children who invest in the stock market and know more about politics than 99.9% of the population.

You said laissez-faire right?

So its not yr problem. He’s the adult ...

15 year olds cant open bank accounts on their own. So when be finds himself with no bank account, whoops sorry

Then cancel the car insurance. Sell the car. Cancel the phone. No phone co will give a minor a contract. Whoops sorry

After all that, he’ll get the message ... no money, no car, no phone. People are forced to figure it out when they are in tough circumstances.

So either he plays by yr rules or he’s cut off

I've met plenty of children who think they know more than 99% pf the population.

Can spell "laissez-faire" but can't pick the right "there/their" to use.
