My son turned 5 in May and he’s already lost his two bottom teeth and another bottom one in the front is now loose. This seems like a lot to me at once. It sounds like kids do lose teeth as young as 4 but most 5 year olds I know have lost two teeth. I however was 4 when I lost my first. I just feel anxious about it. He’s been going to the dentist since 3, we’ve been diligent about brushing teeth, no issues but I wish his teeth would have stuck around longer.
It happens in phases, and it varies for everyone but it usually happens within the same age range.
I remember with one of my kids, teeth seemed to fall out in kindergarten like leaves from a tree. It was crazy! He was just going through a growth spurt though. Better to have them fall out than have to have them removed.
Did you put money under his pillow? When I was a kid, I put my tooth there and got a quarter.
The next night, I stuck my mom's DENTURES under my pillow!
Why did your mom have dentures already, when you were that small? Who has dentures when they're in their 20's or 30's, or even early 40's?
Nothing to worry about OP. They tend to fall out in groups. He sees a dentist regularly so if there was an issue I'm sure the dentist would catch it.
My kids both had teeth removed by the dentist between 6-10 years old or so to make room for adult teeth and to lessen the amount of time braces would be needed. We knew early on that braces were going to be needed.
My oldest started losing them at four and they came out fast. She even broke her front permanent tooth at six .
