So this must be at least a half dozen sets of parents responsible for these kids? What’s going on?

Maybe the parents are in jail themselves.

Looks like the overlords moved this topic to a location where it will die. This was meant to be a Colorado Springs topic.

Two of the boys had priors so at least those two apparently haven't had any parental supervision.
Something is wrong with our juvenile court system and children's services department.

Where were the police? How many reports with descriptions and locations do they need?

Parents who let them do anything they wanted with no consequences. Parents who lack morals in the first place, so they wouldn't know what morals to teach their children.

I would guess that most of the parents of those involved were at their jobs.

I live in a middle-class Denver suburb filled with families, and the only people I see home at 9:00 on a Wednesday morning in my neighborhood are retirees and mothers or nannies who care for infants. (I walk our dog, and our neighborhood is absolutely silent on weekdays with virtually no traffic from about 8:30 until about 4:00.)

Such is the society we have now, and I think that is a shame.
