I wonder if any of your kid become what they wanted to be when they were young? My 12 years old wanted to be a doctor since kindergarten and i do hope that he changes his minds to something else.

My children arent grown yet but my 12 year old wants to be an engineer, either robotics or aerospace. I hope he succeeds. I wanted to be a doctor but life circumstances prevented it. Why do you hope he changes his mind?

Our current healthcare system doesn’t support doctors and patients. Everything seems to dictate by insurance companies and big pharmaceutical. It is very hard and demanding career. Medical school would take away his twenties if he survived that then feeding into extremely long hours of residency. But that was just my opinion.

My child had no idea what she wanted to do when she was young. She works in IT. Very good salary & benefits. She's happy in her career and social life.

I wanted to drive a red dump truck. Never happened. I had a good carreer. Happily retired now.

My son was interested in science from a very young age. He now has a Ph.D. in microbiology.

My daughter was always interested in "helping" types of professions as well as international relations. She just finished 2 1/2 years in the Peace Corps as a health volunteer, based in a Francophone country in Africa, and is now teaching in a public school in France.

I was always interested in helping others and education. I recently retired after 40 years teaching special education.
