OP; your posting history is interesting & so is your ... presentation.
Are you possibly a HF autistic who is either expecting or is a dad-to-be & people aren't relating to you very well & you need help anticipating what interactions with either your family or your in-laws may be like?
I mean; THAT I may be able to help you with ... I'm a HF autistic who is a mom to an adult HF autistic & a severely autistic teenage boy.
If I'm wrong then I probably can't help, as I'm a bit confused about the dynamics here.
I disowned my daughter. I'm upset that she is expecting a child with her high functioning autistic boyfriend (my son in law). She's upset with me. Was it the right thing to do?
Really? Read your own post. Does it sound right to you?
Are you insinuating that a member, before offering advice to someone who has fewer than 4 posts, should NOT glance through the other posts?
This isn't PI work, CityGuy. This poster was just looking and trying to find out how to offer the best advice.
Maybe not everyone here knows how to quickly glance through a brand new poster's history?
You should do it. It might keep you from offering really way off-base advice if you haven't looked through a poster's recent postings.
Right, Clara C? Doesn't take PI work when one reads one original post, finds it a bit odd, and then the very next original post is similar but...just a little different, but from the same poster. I mean, they are both right there. One is a sister, one is a daughter. If one looks at new posts in order, then hello!

A high functioning autistic person can be very successful at life and also be a good parent. If you suspect your son in law does not fall in to this category then you owe it to your future grandchild to stay in the picture regardless of your feelings about your daughter's decisions.
