Hello parents,

I come to you asking for advice again. Years ago, you advised me on a Christmas present for my 2 year old nephew. It was suggested I buy these, which I did:

https://www.amazon.com/Mondo-Bloxx-B...9185044&sr=8-6

He and my 13 year old nephew STILL play with them! Since I got such good ideas, I'm asking again. What gift would be good for my nephew now that he is older? He has a lot of indoor toys. He plays video games all the time so I want to get him something that keeps him off the electronics. Maybe something that works for the outdoors? Preferably not Legos since he and older nephew have a ton of those. There are so many choices, I have no idea. Thanks for any suggestions.

Not sure what your price range is, but I'm just going to throw some stuff out there...

A bike, with training wheels. (he should also have a helmet...but he might want to pick that out for himself.)

A tether ball set

A soccer ball, and a soccer ball net

Riding scooter for kids

And...this looks fun...it's a buddy bumper ball. I think I and my siblings would've had a blast with this...

I just got my almost 6 year old a laser tag set on after christmas clearance. Hes a video game kid and im always trying to improve his off electronic engagement. He loved it and if your nephew has older siblings or friends to play with its a really fun way to get them running.

That's a great idea. That way it can appeal to his electronic interests but also get him physically active.

Stomp rocket. Just search amazon for it.

Hugely popular with all the kids when we brought one to a birthday party where they opened the presents.

I was also going to say magnatiles. Not sure if 6 is getting too old. My son is 5 and loves dinosaurs, books about science, Lincoln logs. Puzzles. Remote car, legos.

Scooter, but don't get a Razr.
Those are crap.

Get one with wheels big enough to go fast or a trick scooter.

Mongoose is a good brand.

Marble runs of all sizes and complexities & also simple robotic kits https://www.lifewire.com/best-robotics-for-kids-4149488 are both fun for 6 year olds.
