I mean, damn! She's very blatantly starts stealing stuff and putting it in her purse even despite knowing she's on camera but is doing it with her daughter right beside her, then when confronted she acts all "I didn't do anything!" and acts completely oblivious to it then her bf/husband gets out and they just drive off.

Thieves are horrible in and of themselves, but doing something like that in front of your own kid(s)? Do you think something like that deserves CPS taking her kid away? And why did she feign ignorance looking like a deer in headlights when confronted?

You are creating a drama, trying to insert an innocent child in the midst of it, in order to make your case *stronger.*
That child is too young to understand the concept of "stealing at the gas station."
The owner of that gas station is trying to stir the same crap, trying to involve child into it.

I'd say leave the child alone.
The woman ( mother in this case) is a thief.
Why she is stealing, is a good question. ( No money? Alcoholism?)
That's for the police to figure out, once she is going to be charged with theft and whatever fines she supposed to pay for the stolen goods, worth $20 max.

P.S. She didn't "feign ignorance" when confronted. She is clearly embarrassed and nervous - just trying to cover it up.

Too bad you don't see the obvious.

P.S. P.S. That voice(s) behind the scene is even more annoying than the dumb look at woman's face or the look of her boyfriend.)))

It is concerning that she is stealing alcohol. I don't think the child needs to be removed if this is a solitary incidence.

The whole family (husband/BF too) should be referred to Family Services for evaluation and ongoing support, education and possible addiction services.

There are children who desperately need to be saved. Petty larceny is not immediate danger to the child. We need to focus on the kids who are actually in danger. If the child is well taken care of and fed and clothed and not being abused. No not a cps call
