Well, the school decision has been made, once and for all, but the marriage weaknesses still exist, and this problem WILL come up again, the moment your son has a problem at school, when your wife throws this back in your face.

OP, PLEASE ... I encourage you to get some marital counseling so you two can have an objective professional guide you through healthy roles, because the approaches you two are taking are not the ones that will keep you happy over a lifetime.

The college search will start around 10th grade. The way things sound right now, your wife would be a prime candidate for being another Lori Loughlin. You and your wife need to get your priorities straight before the college search starts. And the number 1 priority is NOT about picking the college that gives your wife an ego boost.

It IS about your son finding the place that best fits HIM and what he wants to study. If y'all don't get this part straight, you will be having far worse issues than how to pay for college.
