No, you can't find out who called CPS. Otherwise, people who want to report abusers wouldn't do it.

Because abusers are, well, abusive.

If your nephew doesn't already know who would have called CPS on him, it's unlikely the person who called was purposely misleading CPS. It's very most likely it was a legitimately concerned neighbor, teacher, family member, etc.

What they CAN ask, is what are the specific allegations.
