What parenting things do other people do that you absolutely refuse to do?

Presumably she's not going to let them raid the liquor cabinet or ride a BMX bike through the kitchen. But if she arrives home to find muddy bike tire tracks on the carpet, she isn't the one that's going to say "you're grounded and cleaning the floors and I'm taking your bike!" That's for her husband.

Not much of a mother figure to those kids huh? Sorry, I must be the only one who thinks this is warped. You marry someone with kids and they live with you you're also the parent. You are helping raise them and that includes discipline.

I don't kiss on the mouth with kids. I only know a few other parents who have the same aversion. I am not sure why I have it, but I just do. I won't kiss my own or another child on the mouth, and raised mine that we kiss on cheeks.

Mouth kissing with other than an adult partner is not common where I live. I have seen it done, but it makes me feel...eeewwww. I never had the slightest urge to kiss my children on the lips.

We didnt have the kid prior to getting married nor was my husband getting him planned.
