Would you criticize them? Would you try to help them?
Why does my child have a tv, game console, and unregulated access to a cell phone, all in their bedroom?

OP, are you talking about yourself? Are you having trouble socializing now at 24?

If you want a child's perspective, why are you asking about our feelings as parents?

And OP, can you explain this? It isn't normal for a kids to be allowed so much unsupervised screen time behind closed doors. Why is this child different?

That's not what you asked, but a child wouldn't necessarily know what they were missing, you know, human interaction with the rest of the world. So they may be totally content in their reclusive routine.

Or is your real question more about a child being harassed by parents to get out of their room?

If your child had no friends, how would that make you feel?

My parents never seemed to mind. Or notice.

Sorry, let me rephrase that. Yes, I meant from the perspective of a parent whose child had no friends.

When I say child, I mean anyone under the age of 18-not just young children. I am also including high school aged children in this bracket.
