I would add that in the case of surrogacy, the couples have to cough up around $100K for the entire process, so these babies are going to well-off homes as well. Not that that guarantees good parents, but most will have advantages over the average child.

That's a very close minded way to think. I am a conservative, Christian republican in most of my views. I believe in the REAL idea behind Jesus, everybody should be loved. I don't even go to church anymore because so called "Christians" usually bash anybody that doesn't agree with them. I am a straight married man with a kid. But what if I was sterile or my wife was sterile? Would that mean I couldn't be married simply because we couldn't conceive a child? That is ignorant.
