Hey there!

My sister just moved from Binghamton NY to Raleigh, and is feeling a little homesick. Are there any Mommy and me type activities in the Raleigh area? It would be great if she could meet some other work at home Moms, as she's feeling disconnected at this point.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest that she join trianglemommies.com It is a forum where mom's (and dad's) can join and they have playgroups (based on your location in the triangle), and parents night out, different interest groups, weekly coffee meetings, book club, etc. They also have a very active online forum, which is a tremendous help for us mom's who need other people to talk with! I have two girls, the youngest is 3 and the older one will be 5 this weekend, so I know what she is dealing with!

I know there are other mom groups, I have just found the triangle mommies a great place to meet moms. Is she planning on having her kids in preschool? I could go on and on, tell her to email me if she would like, or you can send me a PM with her email and I can try and hook her up with some of my mom resources.

Have her try momsclub.org
It's an intl group with chapters in many cities. Looks like there are Cary/Morrisville and Apex chapters.
