Let me summarize:

Some people thinks it's weird.
Some people don't.
Some people are uncomfortable with breastfeeding in public especially when the child is older.
Some people don't.
Some people don't understand the breastfeeding laws.
Some people do.
Some people just want to argue.
ALL people want what is good FOR their OWN family.
